White At Weddings?

looking for some knowledge here.....

my housemate went out and bought an outfit for a wedding, and came back with all white clothes. now, i thought that wearing white, cream or ivory at a wedding was a bit of a no-no. reason being the bride could be wearing any of these colours. am i wrong?

No, you're right. I'm not an expert but I've always heard you should never wear white to a wedding (especially if you're wearing it from head to toe...) nor black, for that matter.
Maybe the weddding rules are changing...

You're spot on. Total no-no at a wedding. Unless you're someone's Uncle whose heyday was the 70s and you look funny. In which case I say go for it!

Maybe it's because red looks slutty. What do I know? I'm a guy :P

I think you can wear red. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to wear a lot of colours; orange is also pagan, I think. That'd be really boring!
I think any coulour should be allowed if you're the bride: after all it is YOUR wedding. :) Plus white is really fattening lol

    I was only kidding T, I'm sure you'll look great :)

Nat: Yes, being a man I like slutty women (but also faithful, ha, fat chance of finding that combo) - but not slutty clothes. I know. I know.

    Hey, no-one's perfect :)

This is true. I'm glad I'm not female. Tis easier clothes shopping if you're a guy - well, a bit. Last time I went shopping pink polo-shirts seemed popular. Pastels do nothing for me. Bleurch :(
